Pool Heaters
CPSC #03-174, 21Aug03. Hayward is voluntarily recalling about 15,800 pool heaters. A malfunctioning circuit board can cause these gas pool heaters to fail to ignite, allowing gas to accumulate in the heater cover. Delayed ignition of built-up gas can result in a fire or explosion causing property damage and injuries.

Spa Heaters
CPSC #02-068, 14Dec01. TruHeat is voluntarily recalling about 142,000 spa heaters sold with Hot Spring (and Tiger River) spas. The spa heaters have an internal electrical connection that can overheat and ignite the heater and spa, posing a fire hazard.
